Following a dominant 1-0 win over Hartford Athletic in the regular-season finale, Louisville City FC head coach Danny Cruz has named an unchanged lineup for his team’s USL Championship Playoffs opener versus Detroit City FC.
Kickoff between the No. 1 seed Louisville and the No. 8 seed Detroit is set for 7 p.m. at Lynn Family Stadium. For tickets and more information visit LouCity.com/playoffs.
Phillip Goodrum leads the line after scoring the winner last week. His 13 regular-season goals led the team and were seventh most in the league.
Ray Serrano and Jansen Wilson will flank Goodrum. The pair combined for 12 goals, 10 assists and 44 starts in league play this season.
Taylor Davila and Kevon Lambert start in the midfield. They finished first and third, respectively, for LouCity in tackles won.
The back line features Amadou Dia and Aiden McFadden at wingback. Kyle Adams, Josh Jones and Sean Totsch form the back three. That trio anchored a league-best LouCity defense that conceded just 19 goals.
USL Championship Golden Glove winner Damian Las starts in goal. The 23-year-old Austin FC loanee became the second LouCity goalkeeper to win the award, and third overall to earn a top goalkeeper honor from the league.
The lone change to the game-day roster comes on the bench. After returning from a four-month injury layoff to play 25 minutes last week, Manny Perez will not be available Saturday. His absence makes room for Sam Gleadle among the substitutes.
