USL Championship Playoffs Info
LouCity’s making its unprecedented 12th consecutive appearance in the USL Championship Playoffs, which feature the Top 8 clubs from the Eastern and Western conferences.
Two dramatic finishes got the boys in purple to this point, most recently a rallying 3-2 victory over Miami FC in the conference semifinal round. Chris Donovan, Ray Serrano and Tola Showunmi all scored in the second half in front of more than 10,000 frenzied fans at Lynn Family Stadium.
Charleston delivered some drama of its own to advance, coming back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Hartford Athletic in a penalty kick shootout.
This conference final matchup marks a rematch of the 2023 game won 2-1 by Charleston over LouCity at Patriots Point.
LouCity’s looking to add to a decorated playoffs history that includes consecutive league titles in 2017 and 2018, plus Eastern Conference crowns in 2019 and 2022. City also won the Players’ Shield — the Championship’s regular season title — in 2024 and 2025. The club added its first USL Cup to the trophy case earlier this season.
