Louisville City FC defender Brandon Dayes will join the United States Under-19 Men’s National Team for three upcoming friendly matches in Spain.
The U.S. U-19 team will travel to Marbella, Spain, to face Wales on Sept. 29, England on Oct. 2 and Norway on Oct. 5. The games will be played across two venues: Banús Football Center and Marbella Football Center.
The camp will begin Thursday, Sept. 24, and wrap up on Oct. 5. The team will be coached by Rob Valentino.
This is the third international call-up for Dayes, the 17-year-old Louisville native and LouCity Academy product. Most recently, he joined the U-19 team in July and August for the Concacaf U-20 Championship. His first call-up came at the U-18 level in March.
At the Concacaf U-20 Championship, Dayes made six appearances with three starts, playing 318 minutes. He scored two goals and was tied for the U.S. team lead with six interceptions.
Dayes is the only player representing a USL Championship club on the 20-player roster.
The other 19 players represent 17 clubs, including 13 from Major League Soccer and four in Europe: Sporting CP (Portugal), Fredrikstad FK (Norway), Brentford FC (England) and Chelsea FC (England).
Dayes will be unavailable for LouCity’s game at Hartford Athletic on Friday. He will also miss the Prinx Tires USL Cup Final, also at Hartford, on Sunday, Oct. 4.
This season with Louisville City, Dayes has started all 23 games in which he has appeared, across all competitions, including 16 in league play. He has scored one goal.
Dayes is in his first full season as a professional, after signing a contract with LouCity in December 2025 as a 16-year-old. He will turn 18 in December.
