Taylor Davila and Evan Davila will occupy Louisville City FC’s midfield Saturday as the boys in purple head down to Florida for a matchup with the USL Championship leading Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Kickoff at Al Lang Stadium is set for 8 p.m. ET. The game will air nationally on ESPN2, with local radio coverage on ESPN Louisville’s 680 AM/105.7 FM.
The Davila brothers, the older Taylor and younger Evan, have been together in Louisville since 2024. Tonight will be the 18th time the duo has started a match in purple together, and it will be just the second time this season they have been the midfield duo.
Taylor, the defending USL Championship Player of the Year, picked up his first goal contribution in two months on Wednesday when Louisville City defeated Birmingham Legion FC at home, 2-1. Taylor Davila had the assist on Kevon Lambert’s game winning goal, which was his team-leading fifth assist in league play an the 30th of his USL Championship career.
In and out of the starting lineup this season, Evan Davila has made the most of the time he has seen the pitch. He ranks third on the squad for chances created per 90 minutes (2.1). Tonight will be Evan Davila’s 22nd appearance of the season for Louisville.
Behind them, the center backs will look slightly different tonight for Louisville, with Amadou Dia re-joining the starters in place of normal captain Kyle Adams on the left. Dia ranks third on the squad for total blocks this year with three.
Dia will be joined on the back three by Kevon Lambert, and Sean Totsch. Lambert is coming off a career performance on Wednesday, which saw him put two goals in the back of the net in his 200th USL Championship regular season appearance. Typically a midfielder, Lambert could remain on the backline for the foreseeable future after the club announced Thursday that defender Josh Jones will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
Totsch will fill the right center back role for Louisville, where he leads the squad in accurate long balls per 90 minutes (5.3).
Hugo Fauroux will start in net for Louisville for the second straight match. Fauroux was only forced to make one save on Wednesday, bringing his season total to 12 saves in seven league matches.
The wingback duo remains the same for Louisville with Aiden Mcfadden on the right, and Jake Morris on the left. Mcfadden had the assist on the opening goal Wednesday night, his first since August of 2025. Morris also had a strong game on Wednesday night, creating three chances for LouCity and putting two shots on target.
The attacking trio remains intact for LouCity, with Jansen Wilson on the left wing, Mukwelle Akale on the right wing and Chris Donovan at center forward. Wilson, Louisville’s leader in league play goals with six, also leads the team with 18 shots on target. Wilson also has scored Louisville’s only penalty kick attempt of the season.
Akale will be starting his seventh league game of the season and making his 13th overall appearance for Louisville. Tonight will be his fifth start in his last six appearances for the club.
Donovan will look to continue what has been a strong year in purple. He ranks second on the team for goals in league play with four, and is tied for the lead for goal contributions with eight.
Six players will be available for selection off LouCity’s bench, including ray Serrano who ranks third on the team with three assists in league play. Others available are Danny Faundez, Manny Perez, Cameron Duke, Carlos Moguel Jr., Quenzi Huerman and Tola Showunmi.
