Louisville City coach John Hackworth previewed his squad’s upcoming showdown with rival Indy Eleven. Hackworth said Indy has been playing well recently and should be a challenge Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
“Indy is in great form, they are on a really good streak of games,” Hackworth said. “We will have our work cut out for us. But we are looking forward to the opportunity, especially coming off a result that we are not happy with in terms of our overall performance. It’s an opportunity for us to answer.”
With a win Wednesday night, Indy moved into first place in the Eastern Conference with 33 points.
“They haven’t given up many goals and they scored all their goals late in games really,” Hackworth said. “So, they have worn down their opponents, they’ve bent but haven’t broken. And then they have been timely with their execution of when they are scoring goals. It sets up to be an interesting matchup for us.”
Louisville City and Indy Eleven kick off Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium. The game will be broadcast on WBKI TV locally and streamed on ESPN+. The radio broadcast will be on 840 WHAS.
