2023: Invited in on a trial, Qawasmy impressed from the start, helping LouCity keep Major League Soccer’s Nashville SC scoreless in its preseason opener. That day, Nashville featured striker Hana Mukhtar, the 2022 MLS MVP. Qawasmy later earned his first pro contract ahead of the regular season.
Before Louisville City FC: Qawasmy played five years at Providence, where in the fall of 2022 as a graduate student he received United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First Team and All-Big East Conference Second Team recognitions. He played youth academy soccer for his hometown Philadelphia Union and went on to make the Big East All-Freshman Team in 2018, marking the first of many accolades at Providence. Qawasmy started all 17 games of his final collegiate season and delivered in pressure moments, ranking second on his team with four goals scored — three of them from the penalty spot.
