2022: Siegfried signed a new contract in the offseason, his second with the club.
Last Season: Joining the club as a preseason trialist, Siegfried’s impressive performance – including a join clean sheet with Chris Hubbard against MLS side FC Cincinnati – earned the keeper a contract with the club. He made his LouCity debut in a July 2 win at Sporting Kansas City 2 and went on to make nine appearances in 2021. Siegfried also caught the eyes of Major League Soccer’s Sporting KC early in the season and went on a short-term loan there while KC dealt with a goalkeeper shortage.
Highlights in purple: An impressive double save on the road against Birmingham earned the young keeper USL Championship Save of the Week honors.
Before Louisville City: From Granville, Ohio, Siegfried came up through MLS side Columbus Crew’s academy while spending time as a youth international on the United States’ U-14, U-15 and U-18 squads. At Ohio State, he posted 18 clean sheets during his four-year college career, good for fourth on the program’s all-time list. Drafted 74th overall by New York City FC, he eventually signed with USL League One member South Georgia Tormenta FC. Siegfried left Tormenta late in the season to join Detroit City FC as the club won the National Independent Soccer Association’s fall title.
