Racing Louisville FC coach Christy Holly also visited on Saturday's program.

Given the dream beyond his playing days, Luke Spencer said Saturday morning, there's no better place to stay than within the Soccer Holdings, LLC, family.

The recently retired forward, who spent four years with the boys in purple, is moving to a full-time academy role, where he'll be surrounded by personnel he'd like to emulate -- coaches such as John Hackworth, Danny Cruz, James O'Connor and Mario Sanchez.

“That’s the end goal," Spencer said on the Soccer City radio show, powered by Kentuckiana Toyota Dealers. "I want to be a professional coach. At what level, I don’t know yet.”

In addition to Spencer's visit, host Lance McGarvey checked in with Racing Louisville FC coach Christy Holly, who's wrapping up a busy week with an invitational training session, looking to build on the trade acquisitions of forwards Savannah McCaskill and Yuki Nagasato.

The Soccer City crew also looked back at the 2020 season that was and the slew of recognitions LouCity personnel are receiving from it. Catch Soccer City live from 9-10 a.m. each Saturday on AM 790 WKRD, plus follow via iHeart Radio and subscribe for new editions through Apple Podcasts.
