Veteran Louisville City FC defender Amadou Dia and forwards Ray Serrano and Quenzi Huerman will start Saturday’s rivalry game versus Indy Eleven as the three changes to interim head coach Simon Bird’s lineup.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Lynn Family Stadium.
Jake Morris, Jansen Wilson and Mukwelle Akale drop from the starting lineup, with Wilson unavailable Saturday with an injury. Wilson and Akale each scored in last week’s 2-0 road win over the Charleston Battery.
Aside from those swaps, LouCity is unchanged from last week’s win.
Dia joins a backline that features captain Kyle Adams, Kevon Lambert, Aiden McFadden and Manny Perez. Dia and Perez will occupy the wingback positions, on the left and right respectively.
Lambert has put up double-digit clearances in back-to-back games, totaling 31 in all against Hartford Athletic in the USL Cup Final and last week’s league win at Charleston.
Taylor Davila and Babacar Niang start together in the midfield for the fourth-straight game. It will be Niang’s fifth-straight start after returning from a lengthy injury spell.
Serrano and Huerman will play in support of center forward Chris Donovan.
In the back, goalkeeper Ryan Schewe retains his starting position after posting back-to-back clean sheets. Those shutouts were the first back-to-back for LouCity since July 4.
Last week’s starters Morris and Akale lead the bench options, which include defenders Sean Totsch, Brandon Dayes. Versatile players Evan Davila and Sam Gleadle, who each can line up in multiple positions, provide flexibility from the bench. Forwards Tola Showunmi and Sam Gleadle bill back up Donovan up top. Ryan Troutman serves as the number two goalkeeper.
