Kevon Lambert will make his first appearance for Louisville City FC since March 14 as the club hosts Hartford Athletic in the fourth Independence Day match in club history.

Lambert, the Jamaican international, signed a permanent deal with LouCity in the offseason after spending 2025 on loan from Real Salt Lake. Tonight will be his 36th appearance in purple, along with his 198th overall USL Championship match.
The 6-foot-4 midfielder has been limited to just two appearances this season due to injury.
Lambert is the first of six changes to LouCity’s starting 11 from their last match on the road at Detroit in the Prinx Tires USL Cup. He’s joined in the midfield by Taylor Davila, who leads the team in minutes and assists in the regular season.
Danny Faundez remains between the sticks after making a decisive save to open the penalty shootout in Detroit. This will be the sixth straight start for Faundez across all competitions.
One change was made to the center-back trio as captain Kyle Adams reenters after missing last match with injury. He’s joined by 17-year old Brandon Dayes, and USL Championship all-time appearance leader Sean Totsch. The trio will look to keep the club’s perfect defensive record on Independence Day intact — LouCity has never allowed a goal when playing on the Fourth of July.
Jake Morris will start at the left wingback position, with Sam Gleadle starting on the right. This will be the third time this duo starts for LouCity this season, with previous pairings coming against Brooklyn FC and Lexington SC in the U.S. Open Cup.
Ray Serrano will start on the left wing, where he’s scored four goals and four assists across all competitions this season. Mukwelle Akale renters the lineup on the right wing making his fifth start of the regular season.
Leading the charge for LouCity up front will be Chris Donovan. Through 18 matches across all competitions, Donovan has had 10 goal contributions in purple, the only player to reach double digits so far.
Nine players are available for selection off interim head coach Simon Bird’s bench, headlined by joint leading goal scorer Jansen Wilson. Others available include Hugo Faroux, Aiden McFadden, Amadou Dia, Zach Duncan, Quenzi Huerman, Evan Davila, Tola Showunmi and Thomas Weinrich.
