Louisville City FC forward Tola Showunmi, who is tied for the scoring lead in the 111th Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with three goals, will start at center forward Tuesday night as LouCity hosts Austin FC of Major League Soccer in the Round of 32.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Lynn Family Stadium.
The 25-year-old Showunmi is tied with Samuel Owusu of Union Omaha for the tournament’s golden boot. The Englishman tallied twice in a win over Southern Indiana FC on March 18 and scored again in a 2-0 victory over Lexington SC on April 1.
Additionally, he scored his first USL Championship goal of the season on Friday in a 3-3 draw at Loudoun United.
The rest of the team includes four changes from Friday’s game. Those changes include both wingbacks — Jake Morris replaces Amadou Dia on the left, while Manny Perez supplants Sam Gleadle on the right.
Perez is a former Austin FC player — he appeared in 10 MLS matches for Austin, with four starts, in 2021, the club’s inaugural campaign.
Elsewhere, Zach Duncan starts over Babacar Niang in the midfield. The Australian has recorded 11 shots from the midfield this season, third most on the team.
Ray Serrano returns to the starting lineup in place of Jansen Wilson. Serrano is tied for the team lead with three assists this season, across all competitions.
He is tied with reigning USL Championship Player of the Year Taylor Davila, who starts alongside Duncan in the midfield.
Taylor’s younger brother, Evan, starts in the attack after scoring his first goal of 2026 on Friday. It was the 24-year-old’s first shot of the season as well.
The center-back-trio of Kyle Adams, Brandon Dayes and Sean Totsch remains intact. Dayes scored his first professional goal on Friday.
Frenchman Hugo Fauroux starts in goal for the seventh consecutive game, after beginning the season sidelined by injury. He has registered three clean sheets this season, two of which came in Open Cup play.
Wilson, dropped from the starting lineup, could provide attacking punch as a substitute. He leads the group of available changes with four goal contributions this season.
Defender Amadou Dia is also available. He won the U.S. Open Cup with Sporting Kansas City in 2015.
