With the USL Championship Playoffs one week away, Louisville City FC head coach Danny Cruz has selected a lineup featuring several regular starters ahead of the club’s regular-season finale against Hartford Athletic (7:30 p.m.) at Lynn Family Stadium.
It includes two changes: Kyle Adams and Josh Jones return to the lineup after getting last week’s trip to Orange County off. Adams will wear the captain’s armband.
Their inclusion moves Amadou Dia and Aiden McFadden to their more natural wingback spots, after each deputized at center back last week.
Between them, Sean Totsch will make his 300th USL Championship regular-season appearance, the first player in league history to reach that mark.
The front three features Ray Serrano, Jansen Wilson and Phillip Goodrum. The three top scorers for LouCity this season, the trio has scored a combined 24 goals. They have also contributed a combined 12 assists.
In the midfield, Taylor Davila and Kevon Lambert have an unrelenting grip on the starting spots. The pair have started a combined 47 league games this year. The duo rank first and third in tackles won for Louisville, with Davila winning 38 tackles and Lambert 23.
In goal, Damian Las will start on the precipice of the USL Championship’s Golden Gloves award, given to the league’s top goalkeeper. He leads the league in goals-against average, the statistic that determines the award, at 0.73 GAA.
Notably on the bench, Manny Perez is available, in search of his first appearance since July 4.
