Having conceded the all-time USL Championship minutes lead last week, Louisville City FC head coach Danny Cruz has tapped defender Sean Totsch for a return to the starting lineup in Saturday’s away game at Miami FC. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Pitbull Stadium in South Florida.
Cruz dropped Totsch to the bench last week, earning one minute of mop-up duty at the tail end of LouCity’s 4-1 demolition of the Charleston Battery. It marked the first time this season the 33-year-old was called upon as a reserve.
With Totsch on the bench for most of the game, former LouCity captain and midfielder Aodhan Quinn, now with Indy Eleven, overtook Totsch for the all-time minutes lead in USL Championship history.
To make room for Totsch, Louisville City Cruz has dropped Arturo Ordóñez to the bench while leaving the rest of the starting XI unchanged.
Fresh off a five-save performance against Charleston, goalkeeper Damian Las starts in goal, holding firm as the No. 1.
Kyle Adams and Josh Jones join Totsch on the back line, with Amadou Dia and Aiden McFadden occupying the wingback spots on the left and right, respectively.
Taylor Davila and Kevon Lambert start together in the midfield for the sixth straight league game.
LouCity’s front three of Ray Serrano, Jansen Wilson and Phillip Goodrum has been prolific of late. The trio have combined for eight goals and three assists over the last five league games.
On the bench, Jake Morris is available once again after recent injury woes, while LouCity legends Brian Ownby and Niall McCabe are also on the game day squad.
The game will air locally on WBKI/The CW on television and ESPN 680/105.7 on radio. WDRB+ will carry local streaming coverage, with the national feed on ESPN+.
