An in-form Louisville City FC will venture south with just one change to its starting lineup for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Sam Gleadle, the 28-year-old newcomer from Monterey Bay FC, will start as LouCity’s No. 9 for the second time in the last three contests, replacing the injured Adrien Perez. Gleadle, who came in off the bench as an early sub last time out, netted his first goal in relief of Perez by converting a neatly taken header in a win over North Carolina FC.
Aside from that, it’s the same group in a 5-2-3 formation as in last weekend’s victory as goalkeeper Damian Las backs up a defensive line featuring captain Kyle Adams, Sean Totsch and Arturo Ordóñez.
Aiden McFadden, who assisted Gleadle’s goal against NCFC, will man the right wingback role with Jake Morris opposite on the left. Coach Danny Cruz also stuck with the usual midfield pairing of Taylor Davila and Elijah Wynder.
Gleadle will start at center forward in a front three that also includes left winger Jorge Gonzalez and Ray Serrano on the right.
Of note, leading scorer Wilson Harris is back available off the bench for LouCity after missing out on the last two games with a muscle strain.
LouCity-Tampa Bay will air locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7. ESPN+ will carry national streaming coverage.
