Louisville City FC coach Danny Cruz is back to a proven group when facing Loudoun United for a 4 p.m. Saturday kickoff at Segra Field.
Cruz has returned to almost the same 11 that got LouCity off to a 4-0 start, matching the club’s best beginning to a season until a quick turnaround to the club’s last-out loss to the Charleston Battery forced rotation. Cruz did opt for one alteration, favoring veteran keeper Danny Faundez over Austin FC loanee Damian Las in goal.
The 10 field players who will line up in front of Faundez start with the familiar back three of of captain Kyle Adams, Arturo Ordóñez and Sean Totsch.
Jake Morris – who missed LouCity’s midweek Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup win over Greenville Triumph SC with a slight knock – slots into the left wing with Jansen Wilson on the right.
The duo of Taylor Davila and Elijah Wynder make up the midfield in Cruz’s 5-2-3 formation.
Ray Serrano, Wilson Harris and Adrien Perez – who all started in the Open Cup victory – remain up top. Harris’ seven goals continue to lead the USL Championship, and he added an eighth across all competitions versus Greenville.
LouCity-Loudoun will air locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7 with streaming coverage via ESPN+.
