Louisville City FC has found some consistency at the right time.
After a season disrupted by myriad injuries and personal absences, coach Danny Cruz didn’t need to make a single change to his starting lineup or bench as LouCity takes on the Charleston Battery in Saturday’s USL Championship Eastern Conference Final. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Patriots Point in South Carolina.
The front three consists of, from left to right, Jorge Gonzalez, Cameron Lancaster and Brian Ownby. That trio combined to score all four goals in last weekend’s conference semifinal rout of Detroit City FC — arguably Louisville’s best performance of the season.
Paolo DelPiccolo and Carlos Moguel Jr. take up spots in the attacking midfield ahead of Tyler Gibson in a central role.
Wes Charpie, Kyle Adams, Sean Totsch and Manny Perez make up LouCity’s back line a week after allowing just one shot on target against Detroit.
Rookie goalkeeper Oliver Semmle — who registered a clean sheet in the conference semifinal round — is back between the posts.
LouCity-Charleston will air locally on WBKI/The CW and ESPN Louisville’s 680/105.7. USL Championship games also stream live on ESPN+.
