Playing for the first time in more than a week, Louisville City FC’s lineup will consist of just two changes Wednesday when FC Tulsa visits Lynn Family Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
Defender Manny Perez has the nod at outside back for the first time since leaving LouCity’s draw at Memphis 901 FC with a groin injury, while Tyler Gibson returns in the holding midfield.
Perez, in his second year in purple, continues to lead LouCity with 19 crosses attempted and ranks second on the squad with eight chances created behind only prolific winger Brian Ownby, who also plays on Perez’s same right side.
LouCity will otherwise line up with a familiar defense in front of goalkeeper Oliver Semmle with Amadou Dia, Wes Charpie and Sean Totsch all tapped to start.
Gibson, the veteran midfielder, has been in a back-and-forth battle for the No. 6 role with Carlos Moguel Jr. and earned the starting nod Wednesday. Dylan Mares and Rasmus Thellufsen line up in front of him.
City’s front three will again consist of, from left, Jorge Gonzalez, Wilson Harris and Ownby.
Wednesday’s game will air locally on MyTV and ESPN Louisville’s 680/105.7. USL Championship matches also live stream via ESPN+.
