It’s only a matter of time, thinks Louisville City FC coach John Hackworth, that the USL Championship’s Group E clubs give each other some breathing room.
How about as soon as this weekend? Hackworth touched on the subject in his weekly Yackin’ with Hack conversation with WDRB.
LouCity kicks off at 7 p.m. ET Saturday against Indy Eleven at Lucas Oil Stadium. At 8 p.m. ET, Saint Louis FC hosts Sporing KC II with all four Group E clubs playing rivals within the pod.
These games — essentially six-pointers in that it’s small group play — “swing the pendulum one way or the other,” Hackworth said.
“One of us — it might not just be us and Indy. It could be Saint Louis or Sporting Kansas City — have to start separating from each other,” he added.
