MORE WAYS TO HELP

During this time of uncertainty and unrest brought on by the spread of COVID-19 and the measures that are being taken to combat it, LouCity wants to help out wherever we can in a responsible and safe manner.
We understand that not everyone has the resources, time, or health to chip in and help the community, but for those who do we wanted to provide a few ways that help can be given in a productive and safe fashion.
Please join the LouCity players, staff, and your fellow fans by donating your time, financial resources, and needed items in whatever way is safest and most sustainable for you and your families.
Listed below are a few of our favorites in alphabetical order.
DARE-TO-CARE
Dare to Care is committed to ensuring our most vulnerable neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need during this uncertain time. We prioritize the health and safety of our community, volunteers, and staff, and we are taking extra precautions to safely respond to increased food needs during this time. There are two best ways to help:
DONATE – Every $1 donated helps provide 3 meals. Your donation allows us to use your gift to meet the greatest need as we respond to COVID-19 in Kentuckiana.
VOLUNTEER – Volunteers are essential for helping us build emergency food boxes for our neighbors in need. We have limited volunteer shifts to 15 volunteers at a time.
LOUISVILLE COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS
Louisville City fans can help by donating money or sanitization supplies directly to our member agencies and contact Congress to make sure funding is provided to agencies serving the homeless.
LOUISVILLE COVID-19 MATCH
This is a personal way to be paired with an elderly or high-risk individual in our community who may need help and assistance over the next few weeks or months. This is a very personal and specific way that you can make a difference in our community.
MARYHURST
Residential and Counseling program for children suffering from abuse, neglect, and mental health needs. They are open, but to keep operations constant for these at-risk children and the families in their community during the COVID-19 outbreak, they need donations of supplies. Click the link to find out what they need and how to deliver those items.
Please reach out to efloyd@https://www.www.loucity.com if you have additional methods that you would like to share, or see our social media posts. This is a difficult time for many, but together we can weather this storm and make a difference.
