Scoring Louisville City’s first goal Sunday morning, midfielder Magnus Rasmussen was voted Dr. Mark and Associates Visionworks Man of the Match Sunday.
Rasmussen, who was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week last week after his nifty assist on a Luke Spencer goal, kept his strong play going this week with his first goal of the season.
“Well, we knew that the space was out wide and when (Sean) Totsch got the ball and served it I knew I had to get involved in the box,” Rasmussen said. “It was a really good serve and I was happy to get my head on it and finish it with a goal.”
Rasmussen and LouCity didn’t hang on to the lead for long, and eventually fell 3-2 to Birmingham Legion Sunday.
Louisville City will host the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Slugger Field.
