Louisville City FC and iHeartMedia Announce Changes to the LouCity Coach’s Show, Soccer City Radio
Coach’s Show features Howie Lindsey as host while SCR moves back to premium weekend time slot at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings
LOUISVILLE (May 17, 2018)– Louisville City FCand iHeartMedia today announced a pair of compelling changes that will affect the partnership’s programming moving forward.
As the club continues to expand its broadcasting portfolio to further add to success off the field, the LouCity Coach’s Show presented by Mulloy Commercial Real Estate will continue in its 8:00-9:00 p.m. slot on 840 WHAS. Broadcaster Howie Lindsey is set to assume the host position, joining head coach James O’Connor and selected players throughout the 2018 USL season.
“We are incredibly excited about the changes to both the Coach’s Show and Soccer City Radio and are ready to see these programs blossom moving forward. We feel these moves will only benefit both parties,” said Scott Stewart, Director of Public Relations & Broadcasting for LouCity. “We’d like to thank Tony Vanetti for his diligent work to get the Coach’s Show underway and are equally thankful to have Howie Lindsey in place moving forward.”
In addition, beginning this Saturday, May 19, Soccer City Radio presented by Kentuckiana Toyota Dealers will move back from Thursday nights at 7:00-8:00 p.m. on TalkRadio 1080 to Saturday mornings on 790 WKRD, with the program kicking off at 9:00 a.m. The shift will keep on-air talent Lance McGarvey and Kevin Kernen in place while a potential third member may join the crew in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, LouCity’s regular season contests in USL action will continue to be broadcast live on iHeartRadio each matchday, rotating across three AM channels and featuring the stylings of play-by-play broadcaster Clay Ables and color commentator Kevin Kernen.
LouCity moves ahead to face Atlanta United FC 2 on Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Slugger Field. Catch the match on 840 WHAS with pre-game coverage beginning at 7:15 p.m. as the “Boys in Purple” seek another important three points at home.
