O’Connor’s Press Conference
On playing USOC at Lynn Stadium:
“It is [different] but we want to place on record our thanks to UofL for obviously allowing us to play there. I think it’s a huge opportunity for us and we’re very grateful to everyone over at UofL for allowing us to be able to go and play. It’s something that we’re really looking forward to and we’re very grateful for all of their help.”
On the quick turnaround:
“It is [nice]. We’ve been watching Long Island and I’ve been really impressed with their quality. The way they play, they have an attacking brand of football, soccer, and I’ve been really impressed with their players and the way their coach has them playing. It should be a really exciting game on Wednesday! They’ve got some really good players so for us, it’ll be a great game. It’ll be great to go and play at the stadium and we can’t wait to get out there and get going again.”
On squad depth:
“Throughout the course of this year, we’ve had very unusual circumstances. We’ve never had the stuff we’ve had. To be honest, I’m sort of sick of talking about injuries. I’d rather focus on the ones who are fit and let’s go get after it! Whoever it is in the eleven, all our guys are capable of playing. So for us, no excuses, the eleven that are picked let’s go out there and give a good, strong performance and let’s get back to the performances we know we’re all capable of.”
