Louisville City FC today announced an exciting extension and expansion of their long-standing radio partnership with iHeartMedia.
iHeartMedia will continue to serve as LouCity’s official radio partner for at least the next two years and will expand their current soccer programming across its strong network of stations to feature a new, weekly LouCity Coach’s Show presented by Mulloy Commercial Real Estate on Mondays from 8:00-9:00 P.M. on the flagship station, NewsRadio 840 WHAS. The regular program will feature LouCity head coach James O’Connor each week during the USL Season and will be hosted by broadcaster Tony Vanetti.
In addition to O’Connor’s weekly show, fans will be able to enjoy the weekly Soccer City Radio broadcast, which currently airs on Saturday mornings on WKRD 790 AM from 8:00-9:00 A.M. Featured talent Lance McGarvey and Keith O’Loane will continue in their roles, while the show will be moved to a prime Thursday evening spot on TalkRadio 1080 from 7:00-8:00 P.M. at the start of the new season. Though yet to be announced, a new host will join the program following the departure of long-time anchor Jeff Milby in mid-March.
LouCity’s regular season matches will continue to be broadcast live on iHeartRadio each matchday, rotating across the three AM channels. Play-by-play broadcaster T.J. Walker will continue to carry the action throughout the 2018 season, joined by O’Loane and others in the booth as part of a rotation of additional soccer analysts who will feature throughout the year. To add to the increased soccer programming on its Louisville cluster of stations, iHeartMedia will promote LouCity across its extensive stable of Kentuckiana stations, including 95.7 WQMF, 97.5 WAMZ, 98.9 Radio Now, and 100.5 KISS FM.
“iHeartRadio couldn’t be more excited to continue our partnership with this Championship winning franchise,” says Earl Jones, President of iHeart Media’s Kentucky-Indiana Region. “We are proud to offer this passionate fan base the opportunity to experience Louisville City FC matches and additional team programming wherever they are with our broadcast and digital platforms.”
