Louisville City FC and YMCA Safe Place Services have partnered to ensure youth and families experiencing crisis have one less thing to worry about as the upcoming school year kicks off.
As part of the YMCA’s school supplies drive, donations will be accepted until Friday, July 28, at the LouCity team store, 125 S. 6th Street. Or, fans can bring supplies to LouCity’s July 29 home game against New York Red Bulls II, set for a 7:30 p.m. start at Slugger Field.
• Donate three (3) items from the list of school supplies below to receive 10 percent off a regular-priced merchandise purchase.
• Donate a backpack filled with everything from the list below to receive four Midfield Premium ticket vouchers to any regular-season game (a $100 value).
The school supplies drive is the start of a larger partnership between LouCity and the YMCA, which will include a ticket program and visits by players, coaches and staff to local YMCA facilities.
YMCA Safe Place Services focuses on positive youth development, strengthening families by breaking cycles of violence, abuse and turmoil and giving children and families the resources they need for a better future.
The organization values teens, young adults and families — and knows education is a key component to their success. However, obtaining the necessary school supplies is a struggle for local families in crisis.
Make a difference by donating today.
