Louisville City FC plans to appeal the penalties levied in Thursday’s United Soccer League Discipline Report that calls for fines and a multi-game suspension on the heels of the club’s loss Saturday to Orlando City B.
LouCity assistant coach Daniel Byrd has been issued a three-game suspension, one game due to his ejection following a 2-1 loss to Orlando and two for “defamatory comments regarding the officiating and league through social media.” Additionally, Byrd was ordered to pay a fine.
The league also fined head coach James O’Connor and the club itself for comments made in his postgame press conference.
The USL did not disclose the amount of the fines.
