LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville City FC and New Albany based Your Community Bank have extended their partnership for another season, the Club announced Wednesday. Your Community Bank will have its logo across the front of Louisville City’s purple Adidas training top — to be worn in team activities throughout the 2016 preseason and season during training sessions.
“Your Community Bank has shown its passion for the sport, our community and Louisville City FC since the beginning,” Louisville City president Amanda Duffy said. “They are fantastic partners of the Club and they believe in our goals.”
Per Club policy, the terms of the agreement are not disclosed.
“We are proud to be a partner with Louisville City FC for the second year in a row.” Your Community Bank president, Kevin Cecil said. “The excitement they bring to the field has gripped the community. They showcase everything that is great about Kentuckiana and we look forward to when they will bring the championship to Louisville.”
Your Community Bank operates more than 30 financial centers, including locations in Clark, Floyd and Scott counties in Indiana, and Bullitt, Fayette, Hardin, Hart, Jefferson, Meade, and Nelson counties in Kentucky.
Entering the 2016 preseason this month, Louisville City FC has returned 13 players from the 2015 roster while adding new additions like MLS Cup-winning forward Chandler Hoffman, University of Louisville alumnus Paolo DelPiccolo and University of Kentucky alumnus George Davis IV.
O’Connor and his team are currently training with a two-week camp at the state-of-the-art IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., before returning to Louisville for a four-game preseason schedule — in which they’re wearing the Your Community Bank training tops.
Louisville City FC will begin regular season play on March 26 at Charlotte Independence. LouCity then returns to Louisville Slugger Field on April 2 to host New York Red Bulls II in the home opener, with a special 3 p.m. kickoff.
