LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville City FC has partnered with Louisville South FC, a youth club that offers a comprehensive soccer program for all boys and girls of South Louisville, for the 2016 season.
“This opportunity to participate in the youth program with Louisville City FC is huge for our new program,” Louisville South FC general manager Glenn Alfon said. “A lot of excitement has been generated in our area over this partnership and we will use this momentum to continue to grow the Louisville South brand in our Southwest community”
Louisville City FC is coming off a season where they finished second in the United Soccer League overall and made an Eastern Conference Final appearance. The club is returning the core of the inaugural season roster, and is continuing to build it’s presence within the community. That includes teaming up with a Louisville South FC, a youth club who’s mission is to promote the knowledge, appreciation and playing of soccer through training and positive coaching to help their players fully achieve their desired potential.
LSFC has made it their goal to help develop the ideals of good sportsmanship, individual physical health, and outstanding character on and off the field.
Louisville South FC came about to benefit children of the Southwest Louisville area. With the help of volunteers, parents, and sponsors Louisville South was able to launch. Louisville South is committed to instilling the fundamental principles of teamwork and fair play.
