LOUISVILLE, Ky — Louisville City FC announced on Wednesday that Louisville Soccer has officially become the first youth soccer program to partner with the Club.

The partnership will include both the boys’ side — Louisville Soccer Alliance — and the girls’ side — Louisville Soccer Club.
Louisville Soccer is a non-profit organization that fosters a love for the sport of soccer and develops athletes of all ages by facilitating physical and mental growth and by bringing each player to their peak individual potential in a team atmosphere. Louisville Soccer’s diverse and highly qualified coaching staff welcomes players of all races, cultures, and economic backgrounds to one of Louisville’s most dedicated athletic clubs.
Youth Soccer partners, like Louisville Soccer, will receive benefits that will help build the excitement of the sport, and better the experience for their players. Entering the 2016 preseason this month, Louisville City FC has returned 13 players from the 2015 roster while adding new additions like MLS Cup-winning forward Chandler Hoffman, University of Louisville alumnus Paolo DelPiccolo and University of Kentucky alumnus George Davis IV.
Coach James O’Connor and his team will begin training with a two-week camp at the state-of-the-art IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., before returning to Louisville for a four-game preseason schedule.
Louisville City FC will begin regular season play on March 26 at Charlotte Independence. LouCity then returns to Louisville Slugger Field on April 2 to host New York Red Bulls II in the home opener, with a special 3 p.m. kickoff.
