CAREER
Lubahn, a star winger out of Wake Forest University entering his second year as a professional, is coming o of a rookie season with the Harrisburg City Islanders in which he played in nine matches. The 24-year-old assisted on three goals for the Islanders. One came in LouCity’s 5-1 win in Harrisburg.
Lubahn scored his first professional goal versus FC Montreal on Sept. 16 in a must-win game to keep their playoff hopes alive. Lubahn put the game away when he dribbled into the penalty area and slotted the ball past the keeper to put the Islanders up 4-0.
The Erie, Pa., native joins his former Wake Forest teammate, Ben Newnam. He was selected to the All-ACC Academic Team in his red-shirt senior season in 2013. During that season, Lubahn scored the game-winning goals versus Monmouth and Boston College. He also assisted on the equalizing goal that ultimately ended in a Wake Forest victory over VCU.
Lubahn started every game of the 2009 season and ran consecutive starts streak to 43 games in 2010. In his freshman season, the winger started every game and finished third on the team with 20 points.
Before signing with the Islanders in 2015, Lubahn went on-trial with the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer.
