Louisville City FC’s all time appearance leader, Sean Totsch, will captain interim head coach Simon Bird’s starting lineup as the boys in purple face the Trinidad and Tobago national team.
Kickoff at Lynn Family Stadium is set for 8 ET. The game will air locally on MyTV 58 and ESPN Louisville’s 680 AM/105.7 FM. For streaming, the game will be available on ESPN+.
In his nine years in purple, Totsch has appeared in 325 matches across all comps. He’s appeared in 20 of Louisville’s 24 total matches this season, netting a goal and an tallying assist.
Totsch will sit in the middle of a back three that will see veteran Amadou Dia on his left, and Loucity Academy product Carlos Moguel Jr. on his right. In a friendly last season versus Spanish club CD Leganés, Moguel played 86 minutes for Louisville, the most of anyone in the squad that day.
Although it won’t officially count in the record book, Cameron Duke will make his first start in purple when he slots into the left wingback position. Duke was brought to Louisville last season on a short term contract and was brought back permanently in the off-season. He will be matched on the right by Manny Perez, who has seven starts in 12 appearances this season for LouCity.
It is a two-man midfield with Evan Davila on the left, and Zach Duncan on the right. In his third season in purple, Davila has made 20 appearances for LouCity this year, inching toward the 25 total appearances he made last season. Zach Duncan has scored 3 goals across all competitions this season for LouCity, just one shy of the total he had in his seven prior years as a professional combined.
Emerging LouCity star Jansen Wilson will start on the left wing. Wilson has a career high 11 goals across all competitions this season. The Elizabethtown, Ky., native will help debut LouCity’s new third kit tonight, which was inspired by former Louisville professional indoor soccer team, the Louisville Lightning.
Wilson is joined up top by two Europeans with Frenchman Quenzi Huerman on the right wing and Englishman Tola Showunmi at center forward. Showunmi has netted six goals this season, with four being scored in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Even though Louisville has been eliminated from the tournament, Showunmi is still tied for the golden boot lead in the competition with Hugo Picard of the Columbus Crew.
The lineup is rounded out with Hugo Fauroux in net. Fauroux arrived to Louisville in offseason from Loudoun United and has appeared in 10 matches across all comps for this season.
Three players from LouCity’s USL League Two team will headline a bench of 12 players.
Trinity High School graduate Marty Wicinski, 2025 Gatorade Player of the year in the state of Washington Cooper Conley and Louisville Collegiate graduate Thomas Weinrich combined for 630 minutes of play for Louisville City FC 2 this summer.
They are joined on the bench by Danny Faundez, Ryan Troutman, Jake Morris, Sam Gleadle, Taylor Davila, Kevon Lambert, Ray Serrano, Mukwelle Akale, and Chris Donovan.
