Louisville City FC will conclude 2025’s rivalry series with Lexington SC sporting a slightly retooled attack.
Two of coach Danny Cruz’s three changes from last weekend’s draw against FC Tulsa are up front as Cameron Lancaster and Sam Gleadle get the start for a 7 p.m. Saturday kickoff at Lexington SC Stadium. Ray Serrano rounds out Cruz’s front three.
Lancaster — coincidentally with LouCity while on loan for Lexington — scored his first goal back in purple in the FC Tulsa game, knocking in an impressive stoppage time strike before the opposition was able to equalize late.
In terms of those swapped out Saturday, LouCity striker Phillip Goodrum misses with a mild muscle strain, and Jansen Wilson is still available off the bench.
The midfield duo of Taylor Davila and Kevon Lambert stays, as do Aiden McFadden and Amadou Dia out wide. Kyle Adams and Josh Jones maintain their spots on the defensive line alongside Arturo Ordóñez, who replaces Sean Totsch.
Damian Las — having played every minute of the 2025 season — remains in goal.
Notably, LouCity has veteran forward Brian Ownby available off the bench. Ownby has made two appearances so far this season, in a USL Jägermeister Cup victory in April and international friendly earlier this month.
At stake Saturday for the boys in purple is the Commonwealth Cup, presented by Republic Bank. The trophy will be awarded based on aggregate scoring from the two LouCity-Lexington meetings. City won the first matchup, 2-0, back in May.
Additionally, both teams need a win to have a chance at advancing to the USL Cup’s knockout stage on this final weekend of group stage competition.
Coverage Saturday will air locally on MyTV 58 and ESPN Louisville’s AM 680/FM 105.7 with streaming available via WDRB+ and ESPN+.
