2023: Totsch followed up an impressive 2022 campaign by signing a new multi-year deal with LouCity, keeping the defender in purple for seven seasons and counting.
Last Season: On his way to earning a third-straight All-League First Team honor, Totsch scored nine goals, a USL Championship record for a defender in a single season. He also finished second on the team in clearances (56) and blocks (13) while finishing tied for second in interceptions (41).
Highlights in Purple: A stalwart for the club, Totsch is currently LouCity’s all-time minutes leader with 14,889 played through the end of the 2022 season. He led City in tackles in 2017 and 2018 as the boys in purple lifted a pair of USL cups. An “Iron Man” in 2021, Totsch he led the club in clearances, interceptions and blocks while playing in every minute of a campaign abbreviated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before Louisville City: The Illinois native lifted his first trophy with the Rochester Rhinos in 2015. Totsch suited up for the Chicago Fire U-23s between 2012 and 2014 while also starring at NCAA Division I Northern Illinois University. For the Huskies, Totsch totaled 64 appearances, with 47 starts and 6 goals. He also served as team captain as a senior. That year, he was the school’s only player to start every match and earned all-tournament honors at the school’s adidas Invitational.
