Last Season: The veteran forward managed only eight appearances due to injury but still managed to score 4 goals.
Highlights in Purple: The club’s all-time leading goal scorer with 75 in purple, Lancaster has been essentially unstoppable for LouCity. Going back to 2018, he scored a league-record 26 goals to win the USL’s Golden Boot. In 2021, he became just the second USL Championship player to register multiple 20-goal seasons, scoring 21 en route to All-League Second Team honors.
Before Louisville City: Lancaster, a member of LouCity’s inaugural roster in 2015, returned from a torn ACL that season to develop into a record-setting striker. Lancaster left LouCity after his Golden Boot campaign to sign with Nashville SC, which was transitioning to Major League Soccer. He returned to Louisville on loan from Nashville in 2020 and made the move back permanent that offseason. Prior to coming to America, Lancaster cut his teeth within English power Tottenham Hotspur’s academy, making his Premier League debut on Jan. 31, 2012.
