Coming off a win at Phoenix Rising FC on Wednesday night, Louisville City FC interim head coach Simon Bird has made just one change to his lineup for Saturday’s home game with Brooklyn FC.
Ray Serrano will start in place of Evan Davila in the attack. Otherwise Louisville remains unchanged from the 2-0 win in Arizona.
The 24-year-old Serrano has seven goal contributions in all competitions — three goals and four assists — including one goal and three assists in league play.
Danny Faundez retains his starting place in goal. He made five saves in Wednesday’s win, earning the clean sheet. That was the most saves by a Louisville goalkeeper in a clean sheet since March 26, 2024.
The backline in front of him includes the 17-year-old Brandon Dayes, who starts for the second straight game after returning from injury. Captain Kyle Adams and LouCity appearances and minutes leader, Sean Totsch.
Amadou Dia will start at left wingback with Aiden McFadden on the right.
Taylor Davila and Zach Duncan start together in midfield. Duncan tallied a goal and an assist in Wednesday’s game, the first time in his USL Championship career the Australian has tallied a goal and an assist in the same game.
Chris Donovan and Mukwelle Akale start with Serrano in the attack. Both had goal contributions on Wednesday — Akale scored the opening goal while Donovan registered an assist.
On the bench, leading scorer Jansen Wilson headlines Bird’s options. Tola Showunmi, Quenzi Huerman, Evan Davila and LouCity Academy player Thomas Weinrich round out the offensive options. Jake Morris and Carlos Moguel Jr. could aid in defense if needed, while Hugo Fauroux will serve as the backup goalkeeper.
