Danny Faundez makes his third start of the regular season for Louisville City FC as they welcome in their league-leading rival, the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Kickoff at Lynn Family Stadium is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will air on nationally on CBS Sports Network, and locally on ESPN Louisville’s 680 AM/105.7 FM.
Faundez is one of four changes interim head coach Simon Bird has made to the LouCity lineup from last week’s loss at Miami FC. In his two previous league starts, Faundez has made a pair of saves. He also had a notably performance in the U.S. Open Cup this season, making seven stops against Houston Dynamo FC on Major League Soccer.
The center back trio of LouCity’s captain Kyle Adams, Josh Jones, and Sean Totsch are the only position group in the unit that is unchanged. This will be just the third time this year the trio has started together, as both Jones and Totsch have battled injuries to start the season.
Aiden McFadden makes his fourth regular season start at the right wingback position, with Amadou Dia on the left. Dia, the 10-year USL Championship veteran, will be making this third start of the regular season after missing some of the opening months battling injury.
One change in the midfield as Taylor Davila will be joined by Zach Duncan. Davila, the defending USL Championship Player of the Year, is currently tied for the league lead in assists with four. He has 29 career USL Championship assists.
Ray Serrano starts on the right wing, with Mukwelle Akale on the left.
Chris Donovan leads the charge as the center forward. He will look to stay hot after recording braces in his last two matches, being the first LouCity player to do so since Wilson Harris back in 2024. Donovan has five goals in 14 matches played this year, the same number he had in 77 appearances for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.
LouCity’s leading scorer Jansen Wilson headlines seven available substitutes for Bird. The bench also inclues Hugo Fauroux, Tola Showunmi, Manny Perez, Quenzi Huerman, Sam Gleadle, and Evan Davila.
