Phillip Goodrum will start for the first time since May 17 as Louisville City FC hosts the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Lynn Family Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.
Meanwhile the club’s all-time leading scorer, Cameron Lancaster, is available off the bench for the first time since returning on loan recently from Lexington SC.
The 27-year-old Goodrum had been hampered by injury in recent weeks. He has scored twice this season with one assist, and his inclusion in the starting lineup is one of three changes for head coach Danny Cruz following a loss last week to Loudoun United in the USL Jägermesiter Cup.
With Manny Perez unavailable, Amadou Dia slots in at left wingback and Aiden McFadden moves to the right. They will flank an unchanged back three of Kyle Adams, Arturo Ordóñez and Sean Totsch. The trio have partnered for all but 64 minutes together this regular season, with Adams and Totsch playing every minute in league play.
The midfield sees the return of Evan Davila in place of Kevon Lambert. Davila start for the third time in league play, and the first time overall since May 1. He’ll play alongside his older brother, Taylor, who should play in his 10,000th USL Championship minute in this game.
Up front, Jansen Wilson moves wide to make way for Goodrum, while Ray Serrano retains his place on the wing. Adrien Perez moves to the bench after starting and scoring last week.
On the bench, Lancaster is joined by Niall McCabe. The pair are the only two players remaining from LouCity’s inaugural 2015 roster. Among the other substitutes, Adrien Perez is the only one to have scored for LouCity this year.
