Louisville City FC will once again present the 2024 6th vs. 7th Region All-Star Game set to take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at Louisville Collegiate’s Barker Brown Athletic Complex.
Now in its third year, the game will feature 44 high school senior players out of the Louisville area, with more than a dozen of those members of the LouCity Academy program. Admission is free to the public, and fans are welcome to bring lawn chairs.
The 6th Region team will be coached by Mario Carrillo (Butler), Will Elder (Bullitt East) and Josh Keller (Jeffersontown). The 7th Region squad will be coached by Jay Gravatte (Shawnee), Jacob Teasley (Male) and Taylor Wood (Eastern).
“This game gives our players the opportunity to showcase their talent on a big stage,” Keller said. “The All-Star game is a great way to send off these seniors.”
Soccer journalist Chris Mattingly founded the event in 2022 as a way to showcase the best talent in local soccer as well as provide seniors another opportunity to play before closing out their high school careers.
