LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville City FC and Louisville-based health and well-being company Humana Inc. have extended their partnership after a historic inaugural season, the Club announced Monday. As the Club’s official premier jersey sponsor, Humana will again have its logo across the front of Louisville City’s match jerseys – including the Club’s iconic purple home kits, white away kits and an all-new third kit that’s to be unveiled in March.
The partnership will position both Louisville City and Humana to continue working within the Louisville community to lead wellness initiatives and awareness toward the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
“Entering our second season with increased support from Humana speaks to the impact we made and success we experienced in our inaugural season,” Louisville City president Amanda Duffy said. “Humana shares our focus of positively impacting the lives of individuals and families in the Louisville community and we couldn’t be more excited to continue building our partnership with the Louisville-based Fortune 500 company.”
Per Club policy, the terms of the agreement are not disclosed.
“It’s exciting to partner with organizations that share our vision for building healthy communities,” said Humana Regional President, Rich Vollmer. “At Humana, it starts with health and through our partnership with Louisville City FC, we look forward to inspiring Louisville families to get out, get active and have fun.”
Louisville City FC will begin regular season play on March 26 at Charlotte Independence. LouCity then returns to Louisville Slugger Field on April 2 to host New York Red Bulls II in the home opener, with a special 3 p.m. kickoff.
