Louisville City FC and FCC will meet for third time this season on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Slugger Field. Louisville City has the 2-0 series advantage in 2018, defeating Cincinnati 0-1 in April and 0-2 in May, both on the road at Nippert Stadium.
Last Time Against Them
LouCity dominated the last meeting against FCC at Nippert Stadium, scoring one goal in each half to take the 0-2 win. Cameron Lancaster scored in the first half from just outside the penalty area to give Louisville the lead going into halftime. George Davis IV subbed on in the second half and took a shot that deflected off of two Cincinnati players before crossing the line into the back of the net to put Louisville up 0-2. Those two goals were enough to earn LouCity three points as ‘keeper Greg Ranjitsingh earned another clean sheet.
Scouting Them
Across the river, FCC are on a five-game win streak and clinching a spot in the 2018 USL Cup playoffs. The current Eastern Conference leaders most recently beat Pittsburgh, 2-1, on Sept. 1. They have had two shutouts in their past five games, and their opponents have not scored more than once in each of the other three matches. Emmanuel Ledesma leads the scoring efforts for FCC with 13 goals, which is also tied for 6th in the USL. Ledesma also leads FCC and the USL with 11 assists.
