Chris Donovan and Jansen Wilson will join the starting lineup for Louisville City FC as the boys in purple head down to South Florida for a regular season matchup with Miami FC.
Kickoff at Pitbull Stadium is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will air on MyTV58 and ESPN Louisville’s 680 AM/105.7 FM. ESPN+ and WDRB+ will carry streaming coverage.
Donovan and Wilson are the lone changes to interim head coach Simon Bird’s lineup. Both coming off stellar performances in Sunday’s Prinx Tires USL Cup match in Omaha. The duo each scored twice, becoming the first teammates in the tournament’s history to record braces as substitutes in the same game.
For Wilson, his two goals move him to a tie for the top spot for goals in the competition with 3. It was Donovan’s first goal since March 14th, when LouCity hosted the same Miami team he will face tonight.
Ray Serrano rounds out the front three, sitting opposite of Wilson on the left wing.
The Davila brothers start in the midfield, with the younger Evan slotting in next to the older Taylor. The two combined for 36 passes inside the final third on Sunday, ranking first and second on the team respectively. Evan began Sunday’s match on the right wing, but dropped back to the midfield after Zach Duncan sustained an injury.
The rest of LouCity’s lineup is unchanged.
Aiden Mcfadden and Manny Perez start at the left and right wingback positions for just the second time together this year.
The back three consists of Louisville’s captain Kyle Adams, Josh Jones, and Sean Totsch. For Jones, it will be first league start of the season, after being sidelined with a hand injury for most of the opening months. This will also be Totsch’s 10th appearance against Miami FC, a team he’s scored against five times, the most of any opponent.
Quenzi Huerman, Sunday’s third goal scorer, is one of the seven available off the bench for the boys in purple. The others include, Danny Faundez, Amadou Dia, Tola Showunmi, Babacar Niang, Sam Gleadle and Jake Morris. Notably, Morris is available for the first time since sustaining an injury on April 18th against Sporting JAX.
